Eight Students of Masters in Development Studies, Azim Premji University Bangalore had their two-week field immersion programme in Poolabanda. They were exposed to life in the hills with the tribal people, field programmes of Dhaatri like learning to file claims under the FRA, understanding the property rights of widows and single women, problems related to mass tourism on the ecology of the hills, survey on the problems confronted by tribals in getting benefits from the Swachch Bharat programme, problems of disabled tribal children in accessing their right to primary education and interactions with elders on their perspectives.
