Lilak (Purple Action for Indigenous Women’s Rights) is an organisation of indige-nous women leaders as well as feminists, anthropologists, human rights advo-cates, environmentalists and lawyers who support the struggle for indigenouswomen’s human rights. LILAK also does researches on the major issues affect-ing indigenous women.

TEWA

Volunteer training for local fundraising is one of the core activities of Tewa. Every year, volunteers from various communities participate in the training programme which raises awareness on local philanthropy in modern terms and brings its advantage to the overall well-being of the community and nation.

Setu - The Centre for Social Knowledge and Action

​

Youth employment rate according to Labor Bureau, Government of India is 12.90%. Gender disparity in literacy according to 2011 census is 82.14% for men and 65.46% for women. According to Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) Report 2015, India is ranked second last among 73 countries on reading and math and science abilities. India faces blood shortage of 3 million units according to 2012 WHO; Delhi NCR alone faces shortage of 100,000 units.

These are some big challenges that India faces, but can you do something to help?

We at SETU work dedicatedly towards bringing effective change bit-by-bit, focusing on growth of children and youth, education of the girl child, women empowerment, quality education, skill development programs and health and rehabilitation.

Jashpur Janvikas Sanstha

‘Jashpur Jan Vikas Sanstha, Gholeng’ (JJVS) is a non -government organization. It had its humble beginning with its Founder member Ms. Mamta Kujur. After completing her post graduation she strongly felt the need to work for tribal community. She went to the villages and met people and created awareness on the social issues of the tribal community while trying to understand the issues of community members.

Adivasi Ekta Parishad

Adivasi Ekta Parishad is actively working for the entire mankind and nature, the efforts have been made to change self and  present political, social, economic and educational systems where mankind and nature can feel the freedom and dignity. This is an effort to rise from selfish interest to the interest of People and the mother Earth. We have faith in wisdom of common people, the leaders of all the spheres including global media that this will become our common concern and destiny.

Mones - Mongolian Womens Fund

MONES was established in 2000 with the purpose of contributing to:• Increasing participation of women in decision-making levels;• Creating an enabling environment for women to carry out social change projects and implement their ideas;• Development of Mongolian women’s movement;• Fostering networking and collaboration with women’s movement around the world;• Creating a society respectful of human rights, equality and social justice

Freunde der Erziehungskunst

​

The Friends of Waldorf Education support Waldorf schools, kindergartens, curative education facilities and social projects worldwide since 1976.

Since 1993, the Keystone Foundation has been working in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve (NBR) with indigenous communities on improving their lives, livelihoods, and maintaining their unique cultures.

The NTFP-EP is a collaborative network of over 60 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community-based organizations (CBOs) working with forest-based communities to strengthen their capacity in the sustainable management of natural resources in the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

mm&P (mines, minerals & PEOPLE) is a growing alliance of individuals, institutions and communities who are concerned and affected by mining. The isolated struggles of different groups have led them to form into broad a national alliance for combating the destructive nature of mining.

Sakhi Trust is a platform for  women, youth and children from marginalized communities to stand up for their rights and to improve their impaired living conditions.

The International Indigenous  Women Forum (FIMI) is a global network that promotes the articulation of indigenous women leaders and human rights activists from different parts of the world, to agree on agendas, build capacities and develop leadership.
